It's been a bad couple of days...

Because I have been sick. Well, sorta. First off, I had some "female problems" and had to go to the doctor. Namely, a cyst. I'm sure you all wanted to know that. Thankfully it turned out to not be serious, and I played hooky from work the rest of the day.

Later that day, when Jess came home, we got some McDonalds. From the one I work at. And guess what? I got (I think) food poisoning from it. How ironic is that? I woke up this morning with a terrible stomachache and ended up throwing up multiple times. Lovely, I know. But I went into work anyway and felt nauseous all day. Then get this, this new girl I'm working with decides to go from nice to bitch in 3.5 seconds, and then decides that she feels sick. So she runs to the bathroom, and threw up. Melissa said she was right outside the door, and that this new girl had made herself throw up, that ass. So she gets sent home, while I had been there working my ass off for 7 hours already feeling like crap. Bitch.

And now it is a special double posting of RWLWW...

Reasons we love working with....Adam!
Adam: And you just dipped the pickle in the onions.
Me: I did not dip the pickle.
Adam: You dipped the pickle!!!

Reasons we love working with....Randall.
Me: I didn't ask for a side order of smartass.
Randall: I'm sorry, it comes free with every order.

Ok, so that one with Randall was from a while ago, but it's still funny!

What's more fun than a barrel full of monkeys?

A webcomic about a monkey and a sheep in space! Check out Able and Baker!

Read about the comic (it's fun, really!) and then click on first comic to start at the beginning. I guarantee you will like it. :) Void where prohibited, offer only good in participating stores.

Let's see, recently, just finished another essay that is due tomorrow. Yes, I realize it is one in the morning and I basically procrastinated until the last minute. Deal with it. I bet you I will get an A on it.

Work is fine. I decided that when summer comes, and I am still working there, then I will go full time, seeing as how school will be out for summer. Ugh, but it will suck, as I must work at the only McDonalds in the world that does not have air conditioning. Seriously, it will get up to around 105 degrees back on the grill. X-l

I was going to have another "reasons why we love working with Randall", but I forgot it. Good times, though. Instead, I bring you...

Reasons why we love working with....Fate!
Fate: Kati, will you go up on the ladder and get me that box?
Me: Ugh, why me?
Fate: Because I don't like going up ladders.
Me: What if I fall?
Fate: Don't worry, I will catch you!
Me: *eyeroll*
Fate: *grin*

Hmm....what else? Oh yes, Jessie's party. It was wild. Which meant that I mostly stayed in my room out of the hubbub and crazyness. I know, I am such the party pooper.

Well.......bedtime. I have school early tomorrow. Most likely I will fall asleep in history and kick myself later for it.

Haha, Check This Out...

This is a great blog, really funny stuff here. Scroll down to check out Jim's horrible album covers of the day.

On a news note, Jessie is turning 21 this Saturday! Happy Birthday, Jessie!

Valentine's day amazingly did not suck. Even though I worked. Wow.

School is fine. Got an A on the essay I was stressing over.

Wow! That was some fast condensed blogging! *zoom*

Working Women's Survival Show

Never have I seen so many women in one place. For those that don't know, the Survival Show is a once-a-year convention full of things useful to women. Booths, free samples, etc. Pay to get it, and just walk around. Mom and I went today, we both took off work so we could go. Spent a good few hours up there walking around and buying things. I got a cool pair of earrings they called "ear vines". It goes in your regular earring hole, then twists up to travel up the side of your ear to look like you've got more piercings than you have.

I also got my very first cell phone! It's a camera phone from T-Mobile. I'm excited, yet a little nervous.

And tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Also known to some as evil, cruel, horribly depressing day. As for myself, I prefer to call it the latter. So, tomorrow shall suck.

Phantom of the Opera in fifteen minutes!

Well, sorta. This girl took the phantom movie and made a funny version of it that you can read. Jess and I were laughing so hard, we had to stop multiple times to calm down before going on and breaking into histerics again. Yes, it's that funny. Mous, I already sent it to you, but T, you'll love it. Von, I don't know if you're a phantom nut or not, but if you've seen the movie you might get a kick out of it. So enjoy! :D

News of the day

Reason #27 why we love working with Randall: He does a great impression of Steve Irwin. "Crikey! He's merely a baby."

I got burned and a bruise at work. We were very busy and sold a lot of fish as it was a Friday during Lent. *sigh*

I painted a little bit more on my room (read - little).

Got my new computer up and running!! Much thanks to Mike and Jessie. Tis awesome. I loveth it. Got Zoo Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon running, very fun.

And that is the extent of my day. What a life I have. *insert eye roll here*

Sunday, February 06, 2005

So yesterday at work I had a *squeal* moment. Since it was Mardi Gras, we were busy as all hell (it was like a neverending stampede of people). I went up to the registers to clock out for my break, but I had to wait until one was done with an order to use the time clock. As I was waiting, I noticed a gentleman standing off to the side of the counter with a cup.
"Do you need a refill?" I asked him. I could surely do that, I thought. But he replied no, and said that he was waiting for his food. Ah, I see, and I turned back to Robert to see if he was done. Robert said that if I wanted, I could go get his food for him. Alright, but I have no idea how to do that, I told him. So he gave me a quick lesson, and I was off. I got the burgers, the pies, and handed the bag to the gentleman.
"You forgot the chips," he said. This confused me, as we do not serve chips.
"Chips?" I asked.
"Yes, chips, you know," he gestured over to our fry fryer. Then it clicked.
"Oh, fries" I said. Then I realized the gentleman had a British accent. So, after a little confusion over what size of fries, I got his order correct and clocked out for my break. Then I had myself a private *woot* in the break room. I served a British guy fries, and he called them chips! How cute!

And here is reason #5 we love working with Randall: So deadpan.
Me: You ever seen that Arby's commercial where the oven mitt leans back and screams, "Will it never end?!"
Randall: Yeah.
Me: I feel like doing that.
Randall: Yeah.
Me. ....But I think it would scare the customers.
Randall: .......Yeah.

Maybe you had to be there. But it was funny.

I stole that woot from Von's blog.

But I had reason to! My computer finally allowed me to watch the trailer for The Corpse Bride, and it looks amazing. I absolutely can't wait. Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and a maybe on Danny Elfman. *faints* So, here we have an animated movie with those three coming out soon, and a live action movie with those three coming out soon. Can we say heaven is near or what?

I am, yet again, on my favorite computer in the library. Across the open space I can see someone sleeping on one of the long benches. That amuses me. Down below I watch random people study, walk about, and get on the other computers. I can watch people go up and down the stairs.

....I am such a voyeur.

......And as I paused after writing that, I looked down and noticed a piece of pink paper peeping out from under my keyboard. (Didn't you love the alliteration there?) I pulled it out, wondering what it could possibly be, and it turns out that it is a scrap paper from the box next to the monitor, with the words "beefboy918" and "taco" written on it. Interesting. I think I shall leave it for the next person to find and be amused.

So I finally started painting on my room yesterday. I got one window mostly done, and have started the trim.

For some odd reason, I really wanted to watch Disney's Cinderella last night. So I did. Man, I haven't watched that in months. Mayhap a year or two.

I am off to read my webcomics. And that person is still sleeping over there.
