Woo hoo!

So today was my technical first day as a crew trainer. I say technical because I have not been officially promoted yet. That should happen on Friday when my supervisor is supposed to talk with me. But, today I trained a new person. And I mean, it was his first day, and my job to tell him everything. Ahh! But it was all good. Whatever deity is up there, s/he must have been listening to my prayers because I got a smart nice guy to train. Everything went mostly well, but Juan kept messing with him and I'd yell have to go yell at him.

I finally sat down and wrote that essay for College Comp. Yes, the one due tomorrow and that I wrote this morning. It will be my first non-A essay in that class, simply because I do not have any peer reviewing. Well, Jess did a little, but she didn't notice there was a backside. Plus the essay is super short. Ah well.

In happier news, I gave Sarah her birthday present today! I had been talking on the phone with her and mentioned how excited I was to give her the gift. So, even though her birthday isn't for another two days, she came over early and I gave it to her. Naturally, she loved it. In case you're wondering what I got her, it was a handmade, usable hookah. I know, I know, some of you don't approve, but I still love her anyway.

Well, I am off to take a shower for school tomorrow. See you all later!

More Stuff

Reasons we love working with Will:
Will: I've lost my sanity! Everybody check your shoes!

So obviously I worked with Will today, which was nice. Trained a new guy on table (making the sandwiches), and felt very smart, but he kept forgetting little things and it was a bit disheartening. Last fish Friday until next year! Hooray! Am working Easter though.

Need to get working on the essay due in College Comp. Don't really want to write it. Have been talking to John from my Comm class a lot up there, good times. Got an A on my history test. Slacking in math because I simply cannot figure out how to do area and volume, especially on circles. But it's ok, I am three weeks ahead.

Other news, ordered Sarah's birthday gift, can't wait to get it and give it to her. Put myself on a diet, been going good. Tis a good diet. Got my new bed, very comfy, can't wait to go sleep more. Bought a Disney princess coloring book, Mike teased me about it. Told him to stick it. Can't find my crayons.

Aaarrrrgggghhhhhhhh

That is what my day was. One long frustration. It was one of those days that just makes me want to throw up my hands and quit. What went so wrong, you ask? Well, here we go...

First off, we had a new guy come in, and Randall had to go train him on meat. Leaving me with only Matt to work with. Ugh, what a headache. First, he puts tomato juice on the grill. God does that stink. Then, to get rid of the smell, he puts lemonade on there. Randall and I told him and told him not to, but of course he did it anyway. Let's just say that while those two things stink separately, they stink worse together. It. Was. Nasty. Not to mention after that, he spilled the lemonade on me.

Then Randall and the new guy left, and we got another new guy in. Sigh. So Matt had to go train him (What a bad idea, Matt can't do anything right), and Nicole (aka psycho bitch) came in for an hour and I was left with her. Not to mention by this time I had a hell of a headache. Then Nicole left, I begged Margaret to send me home early, and she gave me a list of chores to do before I could leave. I tried to get them done, but as I was the only one left on grill, I had to keep stopping and do that. Finally Fate got sent back so I could finish up. In the end, I didn't get to leave early. Oh well.

Then home, and a shower, and a movie. I feel much better now.

In other news, Von got married! *claps* Unfortunately I didn't get to go (work), but I heard all about it, and Jessie brought home a massive chunk of wedding cake. I must say, Von has excellent taste in cake. I can't wait to see pictures! Congratulations Von and Drew!

Vacation, baby!

Ahhh yes. I am on a mini-vacation. Spring break from school, and no work for three days. For once, I really am "lovin' it." (McDonald's humor there...laugh)

So yesterday we had DirectTV installed. I haven't tried it out yet, but I had to be here for when the guy came over to install it. He was very nice, and I just sat in a chair in read a magazine while he worked. Later, the furniture people came and dropped my new dresser and nightstand off, yay! I am getting the bed sometime later, they had to order it special. So yesterday afternoon I was moving stuff around in my room and getting some stuff out of boxes. I still have a lot in boxes, I really need to go buy a bookshelf.

And today is my lazy day. Slept in, sittin' around on my computer, listening to Weird Al on my headphones....tis the life. Mayhap later I will do something productive.

And on another note, I can't freaking wait for the Ren Faire. Holy crap, sometimes it is all I think about. I'm trying to save up my money so that I can buy stuff there, for once, and possibly even dress up. The perfect scenario is that I can buy the peasant outfit I want from Museum Replicas Unlimited, that it will fit, that I get my hair braided at the braiding stall they have every year, I can finally buy a piece of art from the art booth, and I have a bunch of my friends with me, some hopefully dressed up as well. So far, I'm pretty sure Athene, Mous, and Jess will all definately go with me. I asked Will from work if he would like to go, since he really wants to go to a Ren faire, and I asked Sarah because she went once, and really liked it. But I'm not sure about them yet. Any other takers? T, Von, anyone? The more the merrier!

Is it May yet?

Oh, and Monday night, Sarah picked me up from work, and after a pit stop at my house to clean up, we were off to the movies. We saw Robots, that new animated movie from Pixar. I found it really funny. I know some people say they were making it just for profit, that it is a regurgitated storyline (which they were right about) but I still liked it. (Not to mention the cast! Not one person I don't like. *coughEwanasthemaincharactercough*) So yeah.

Oh, and I saw the trailer for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, again, and again I loved it. I can't wait to see that. And they showed a teaser trailer for Ice Age 2, let's hope they can pull it off. And then.....they showed it. The trailer for Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Oh my god. Yes, I admit it, I am a Star Wars geek. I grew up on it. I was already looking forward to EpIII, but....this was amazing to actually see it. It really did take my breath away. All I could say was "Wow."

So that's what I've been up to. Now I am off to go laze about. :P

So tonight I introduced Jess and Andy to the movie Saw. It's already one of my favorites, and they really liked it too. I mean, an awesome beginning, one hell of a storyline/plot, and probably one of the best endings ever in film. But then again, I'm no professional film critic. But what do they know? Bah. Tis a very good movie. (HINT: I want it!)

Today at work was blah. Some good moments, some bad. I am getting really unmotivated about my job. I can't wait to get out of there, but I know I will miss some of my co-workers. I swear, if I don't get a raise next month (which I really deserve) then I will leave. I'm gonna be extremely pissed if I don't. My managers have told me already that I am one of the best. I think there will be recommendations for raises (heard from Will) and if I don't get any....oooh, I'll be mad. So yeah.

I have found the perfect present for Sarah for her birthday. It's a real, usable, affordable hookah. Yup. Next paycheck comes around, and I am ordering it for her. I know she will just die when she opens it up and sees it. I am the best ever. (inflates ego a bit more) :P

Reasons we love working with....Melissa M.
Danielle: Move!
Melissa: Hey! There's these words in the alphabet called 'excuse me'.
Danielle: There's no words in the alphabet!
Melissa: Well if you put the alphabet together it spells excuse me. Now move.

This was great because Melissa didn't even miss a beat with her comeback. I thought it was so funny, I had to go get a napkin and a pen to write it down so I wouldn't forget.

Movies and Scotsmen

So, I just finished watching Cellular with the boys for the first time. It was much better than I thought it was going to be. If you have not seen it, you definately should.

Today at work was half fun, half "God I just want to get out of here." The first part before my break was fun because all the fun people were there: Steve, Randall, Will, Mikey. I had this great conversation with Will about why the Scots (and kilts!) are hot. Lots of fun and playing around with the guys. Then Will and Mikey left, I went on break, and we got a bunch of new people. Mostly ones I didn't want to work with. (i. e. Nicole and Matt) Then we got super busy (fish friday). After that, Steve and Randall left, and I was left dying to go home. 9:00 on the dot, I was clocking out and grabbin' my coat.

Von was with Jess when she picked me up, so I got to see her for a little while, which was nice. I gave Von her *woot* back (somewhat grudgingly). But all is good. :P

Reasons we love working with....Margaret.
(Will and I are discussing the Scotsmen)
Margaret: I want in on the conversation!
Me: Alright. We're talking about the Scots.
Margaret: The who?
Me: Scots, you know...
Will: The Scottish!
Me: Yes.
Will: And why they are hot.
Margaret: (blank face) Right...

Stuffage

Haha, I have gotten me some White Castle. All yesterday I was craving it while at work, so when I got home I asked Jess to pick some up for me on her way home. My sister is so nice to me! (and I owe her money, lol)

So yesterday's McD's highlight was karoke with Randall and Adam. Let me tell you, hearing them sing Barbie Girl by Aqua together, in harmony, was priceless. They would do voices for it too, like up high for the "ah ah ahs" and down low for Ken's part. They also sang bits of many other songs, like Kokomo by the Beach Boys and Summer Nights from Grease. What I wouldn't have given for a recorder.

Randomness for a moment!! Scotty doesn't know....

*ahem* Sorry, I was listening to a mix cd and that came on. :D

Anywho, I have been plotting. Yes. And hopefully it will go into effect tonight. What be this plot, you ask? To hook up a co-worker of mine with my best friend. Justin just seems so perfect for Sarah, I have to give it a try. Muhaha.

Payday today! Yay!!

White Castle Goodness

So, I finally watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. Jess brought it over last night, and Tom and Vickie came over to watch it with us. I must admit, I thought it was going to be one of those really stupid movies, like Dude, Where's My Car?. (Although that movie was funny, it was also quite dumb.) But this one was amongst one of the better movies of that genre I have seen.

And damn Jessie! She told me that I would want White Castles after seeing this (along with everyone else who had already seen it). I didn't really believe her. How could a movie make you crave something? But oh man, when they finally got to White Castle and were chowing down on the burgers, damn I wanted some. White Castle must be pleased as a pig in shit about this movie. (pardon my non-French French)

Oh God, kill me now...

I just got home from work, and I am ready to curl up and die. I ache all over. I worked 9 hours today instead of my usual 8. Why, you ask? Well, Matt asked me to stay the extra hour for him, and I felt bad for him, seeing as how he felt really crappy all day from some accident he had. Plus he said he would pay me what I make in an hour. ($6.25) So, combined with my hourly wage from McD's, I earned $12.50 for one hour. (I'm so greedy)Not bad, even though I felt like I was going to collapse any minute. It was really hot back there today too, and we don't have air conditioning.

But on the good side of work, for the beginning anyway, it was fun. Almost all the people I love to work with were there, and when you get those guys together, you get one hell of a laugh. Especially since Mikey is back on grill, combined with Randall they know every single "Your mama" joke there is. And they like to flaunt it. My favorite I heard from Randall was "Your mama is so fat, when she goes outside in a red shirt people yell, 'Hey, Kool-Aid!'" Will also decided to come up to me and put a sticker on my shirt. "It's my Christmas present to you!" He exclaimed. So I kept it there. Later Matt tried to remove it and I got upset at him.

Man, Matt was really annoying me today. So why did I stay for him? I don't know. I also worked with Nicole again today, and amazingly got along well enough with her. Eh. I guess she is not so bad, depending on what job she is doing.

P.S. - Can anyone tell me how to put links on my blogger sidebar?
