Betty Crocker at McDonald's?

Yesterday Steve brought in a tub of cookies he had made, himself, for everyone. I was jealous and impressed. Jealous because they were really good, and freaking huge. I can't make cookies like that. Impressed for pretty much the same reasons. Guys who can (and like to!) bake/cook are awesome. I teased him for a little while about it, asking where his frilly pink apron was and calling him Betty Crocker. But he knows that I really was impressed.

Work was actually so much fun yesterday. I had all the great guys there: Randall, Steve, Will, Derek...We had so much fun goofing around. Steve started making a movie game where everyone had to think of movies and shout them out and we could talk about them. This lasted us from about 2 until 6. Even through people's breaks - we would come back armed and ready with more movies. But after everyone left at 7, I was left with dumbasses and I got really frustrated.

Joe picked me up from work, and after a quick run home to change, we went to his house and hung out with his family and Heather, which was great. He has such a crazy family. Made a Ted Drewes run (for those of you who don't know, that's ice cream), went back and goofed off some more. Later on we popped in Big Fish and watched that, then it was time for home.

Joe had been roped into going to a prom with one of his mom's friend's daughters, but the girl called up and said she had been burnt from fake tanning and couldn't go. Later we found out she had lied and gone without him. But that was more than ok, Joe didn't want to go. But he had his tux (which he looked very nice in), and he wanted to show it off. Hence the Ted Drewes run. Joe said he was going to have the picture his mom took of him made into a card and write on it "This is what you missed." Everyone loved the idea. After our ice cream run, Joe, Heather and I were all lying on the couch, Joe in the middle of us. His mom thought we looked too cute for words and took a picture. I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.

I ain't dead yet!

So I was reading a blog just now, and the guy was talking about his new hat he had just gotten. Then, there it was. The best phrase I have heard in quite some time.

"Dangerously jaunty."

And it's so much cooler when done in italics.

Well, like the title states, I am still existing. Quite the accomplishment, I know. School is almost over (one more week, YAY), and I am officially promoted at McD's to crew trainer! I keep planning to quit, but when I think about it, I think of how much I'll miss my friends there. *Sigh* Life. Got mom's mothers day gift all wrapped and done with, hooray.

Tons of friend drama going on at the moment, but I think I'll wait to talk about it all when it's over.

Happy Birthday to....uh...Me

So obviously, today was my birthday. What to say?

I saw the people that mattered most.

Half the people I invited (aka all my coworkers) did not show.

My co-worker crush, however, called to apologize that he couldn't make it and to wish me a happy birthday.

It rained.

We barbequed anyway.

Music, games, and food.

I guess if you put it all together, it was a good day/party. But I can't stop focusing on the fact that none of my co-workers didn't show. I plan on exaggerating the party for them to a wild bash and then say, "Oh, but wait, YOU weren't there." Bitchy of me, I know, but I can't help it, I'm a bit upset.

Everything's going so well!

I doubt anyone realized that the title to this post was a quote from Moulin Rouge, said by Monsieur Zidler.

But, I believe it truly has. The problems I mentioned previously are now apparently over and done with, or at least on an upwards spiral.

I am having a birthday party soon! It shall be on April 20th (a Wednesday), 6pm to midnight. Why Wednesday? Because it just so happens to be the only day I have off for the week. Plus the day is easy to remember, I think. The event shall take place at my house; presents are not necessary, but if you want to, go ahead. :D

In other news, work was busy. I regret to say I don't have a RWLWW for this post. I wish I did, but I can't think of any moments that were really humorous at work. Well, ok, one, but it doesn't fit into the whole RWLWW scheme. It was Juan (who can be such a jerk at times) throwing a roll of paper towels at Maria, she threw them back and hit him dead in the balls. Let's just say he was on the floor in pain, we were on the floor in laughter.

It's Been One Of Those Days All Week...

It truly has. Have you ever had a time when everyone seemed to get a problem at once? That's what's been happening with me. To start it off, Joe and Heather both started having relationship issues. So I helped them with those, I don't mind, I like to help them out. Then I got into the middle of Sarah and Monica having some troubles with their friendship, and trying to work things out between them. And recently I've started having a problem that I can't get off my mind. It's getting pretty bad, I don't know how to help myself. And sadly, no one can fix it.

But, in work related news, things have been going well. I still haven't talked to my boss about my promotion, but we're usually fairly busy when she and I are both around, and it can be hard to get a chance to talk with her. But I will try this weekend.

School has been going mostly good, except for math class. That is my last class of the day, and I am starting to really dislike it. Thank god it will be over soon. I have been finding so hard to concentrate in recently, especially today with all these problems on my mind. I found out that one of the girls I like to talk to in communications class is actually the cousin of a childhood friend I have. We both thought that was just crazy and started saying "It's a small world after all."
