So this is Christmas

Actually, it's the day after, but eh. Well everyone else's blog has posted about Christmas, I suppose it's time I got on my lazy ass and typed up mine.

So the 23rd was decent most of the day, which I had to work. But then Joe, Heather, Joe's sis Becca and thier accquaintance (sp?) Jennifer and I all went to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. I was so excited and the show definately exceeded my expectations. It was amazing! They really went all out this year and did the best show ever. If you have never seen TSO, I HIGHLY reccommend going to see them next year. After that Heather, Joe and I all came back to my house and we exchanged presents. I got a Harley Quinn Barbie, which I love and is enjoying her perch on my computer tower. Now I need to get Poison Ivy Barbie so the pair can be together. They also got me a magic 8 ball, which is awesome because I have been needing a new one! It's been on my desk and answering many questions for me.

Christmas Eve was presents with the family, since we wouldn't be able to be together for Christmas Eve night or morning. Opening presents with the family was one of the best ever, everyone was so happy and fun. Mom's big present was definately the highlight for me. It was quite funny, when she was opening the big box and digging through all the tissue paper. Then when she found the little box and opened it, she said "It's good that this is a jewelry box" with such a funny expression. And when she saw the necklace, I was tearing up so bad and she was crying and I had to stop my videotaping to go give her a hug and for us to wipe our eyes. She was so surprised and happy, I loved it.

The rest of that day I had to work. Oh, but Jessie got me Rescue Rangers on dvd, and I was so surprised! She and I have been working our way through the three disks and absolutely loving them. It makes me feel like a kid again watching that theme song and remembering when she and I would run for the tv whenever we heard it.

Christmas day was uneventful, as the family had already done all our Christmas stuff. So I slept in (a first for Christmas day) and sat around the house. I read a whole novel, watched tv, got on the computer, played with some of my presents, etc. You get the picture. I was bored. But everything made up for my non-Christmas day.

And now for something that has absolutely nothing to do with Christmas: A quote from Mikey.
Mikey: You say po-tay-to, I say po-tah-to. You say x-box 360, I say piece of crap.

Well, I certainly thought it was funny. Maybe you had to be there.

I like movies!

So when I was Christmas shopping a few days ago...I broke one of the Christmas rules. I bought something for myself. Three things, actually. See, the game store had used dvds on sale, so I got two for ten - Eye of the Beholder and Can't Hardly Wait. Then when we were at Suncoast, I found The 10th Kingdom for only fifteen bucks! Jessie and I watched The 10th kingdom first a couple nights ago. I love that movie!

Thing is, it's almost seven hours long. But worth it! Anyone who likes fantasy I highly recommend it. It's got romance, action, humor, anything you could want. We started it around midnight and watched it until six am, then went to bed, woke up, ran an errand and finished the movie. I got Jessie hooked on it!

Last night we watched Eye of the Beholder. That's one of Ewan McGregor's many movies and another to add to my growing collection of his work. I had seen the ending but never the beginning, so it was great to finally see the whole thing through. And I did love it.

So I did get all my Christmas shopping and wrapping done. I wrapped mom's necklace really pretty in it's little box, then I put that in a huge box and filled the thing with tissue paper. Then I wrapped that box. Also, both boxes have ribbons tied around them. So she's gonna have to work for that present. I deliberately left it where she would spot it and a few moments later, I heard her shout "oh my lord what is in this box?!" I can't wait for her to open it.

A funny quote from yesterday -
Mikey: Well if Mitch gets a smoke break then I get a fresh air break!

And he sure got it.

Well today I go in four to nine to work for Charles. I'm taking his shift today and he's taking mine on Saturday because he needed today off. I got the better deal, because I'm doing a five hour shift and he'll be doing an eight hour.

And I'm finally done with school for this semester! I'm hoping and praying I pass my gender class. I know I failed math. And I'm definately sure I passed fitness and psychology. I also got registered for next sememster. I'm going to be re-taking math, taking fitness center 2, cross-cultural psychology, and human sexuality. Sounds good to me.

I forgot to post about the battle of the bands! Ack! Well, long story short, Vicki invited me to go with her on a free ticket to battle of the bands. I, having nothing to do, said yes. It was awesome. We had to wait to get inside, but we did get a table right up front. The first band sucked, the second band, Estrus, was my personal favorite. Third and fourth bands were ok, but just eh. Vicki's stepbrother's band was next, they were pretty good. And the last band was really good. Vicki and I even got up to stand by the stage and, well, bob our heads. Not so much dancing. There was lots of moshing going on though. Then it was food and home. For a full and much better review of the night/bands, go to Vicki's blog! It's Homeade Honeytown on my side links.

Sleepy Sunday

Wow, long time no post! I suppose just nothing that big has happened. Lemme see....

I really want to go Christmas shopping. But, Joe and Heather have already gone, and they keep having car trouble, and Jess is always working or I am working...you get the picture. It's hard finding a time to go. All I have so far is Joe and Heather's presents because I bought them online. But oh boy, I've been itching to get people presents and wrap them. I lurve wrapping presents! If anyone wants help I will wrap your presents for you! *ahem*

So what is everyone doing for Christmas?

My car has finally been towed. I didn't want it to be, but Mom is all like, the car is still in my name so we're doing it my way even though you will pay for it. GRR.

I can't wait for it to snow! I really really want a white Christmas this year.

Oh! Borrowed Chobits from Heather/BigWill (let's call him Bobo from now on). It's wonderful! I've been wanting to see that anime for forever and it was awesome! Vickie you will definately love it. Ohhh, and there was this persocom guy at the end that I know you will just squee over!

My Barbie from ebay finally came, but Joe still has her over at his house (because I used his ebay). Heather keeps asking me if I will take her out of the box. The doll appears to have never been opened but the box is in really shitty condition. I kinda want to get a class display thingy so I can have her protected still but out of the yucky box. But where would I find one? And then where would I put her?

So I have a good idea of what to get Jessie for Christmas. No real clue what to get other people though. And Jessie doesn't know what to get me! Hmm. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to post a little something here.... Any Ewan McGregor movies I don't have ( I can give a list if needed), pretty mermaid art, or even fairies or dragons is fine! I likey jigsaw puzzles. Been wanting Evanescense cd, or Rob Thomas, or Rob Dugan, or Matchbox 20. Pretty and soft pillows are happiness. I love Disney stuffage! Movies are always fun. Cinderella on dvd, Best of Dan Ackroyd SNL,...I can't think of any more movies right now! Will post more later if people want me to, I guess.

Can you tell I'm excited for Christmas?
