Kilts and Cotton Candy
So I have finally figured out what to do for my birthday! It came to me this morning...via the radio. I was upstairs fixing breakfast for myself, about to head off to school, when the radio announced the circus would be in town a week after my birthday! I was like "GAH!" and ran to tell my mom that I wanted to go to the circus for my birthday. I love the circus and I haven't been in years! Now, the thing is, it is the Moolah Shrine Circus. I've never been to one of their shows, mom always took us to see Barnum and Bailey (or The Ringling Bros, whichever you prefer). She says the difference is that B&B is the bigger better show. Well, I want to go anyway and I really hope it will be good.
And another thing - Heather has informed me that she has never been to the circus! I was just floored. So Heather, no matter what, if I gotta pay for you, if you gotta take off work, if I gotta drag your ass there, YOU ARE GOING TO THE CIRCUS, DAMMIT. And I'm sure you'll love it (and have no objections to going...). *big grin*
Other people can come with us too! If you're interested let me know!
Anyway, that will take place somewhere on April 28-30 - either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, depending on, uh, stuff like schedules. Yeah. Oh yeah, and tickets are like, $12, I think. Will inform more later.
So for the actual day of my birthday, which is a Thursday *cough20thforthosewhoforgotcough* I would like to do something simple. I would like to go to dinner. Most likely have some friends back over to hang out at the house later... Not really a party, just a sort of hanging out. Of course, I still would like cake and maybe some balloons! (and presents...)
But I want to go to a restaurant I haven't tried yet, one that I've been REALLY wanting to go to. It's called The Scottish Arms. I'll most likely go back there for my next birthday (21!) so that I can legally drink some of their Scotch whiskey! But I would like to go with family and a couple friends and just soak up some Scottish atmosphere (and food!) They have a menu online, and I don't see it, but I was really hoping for some sort of a sampler platter cause I want to try some of everything. Who knows, I might even dare to try a bite of haggis if possible! (Those who don't know what haggis is...Shame. Or, maybe good. If you're curious, look it up.)
Anyone interested in checking out this restaurant go to www.thescottisharms.com
I'm excited! And I've already starting making a present list in my head. ...You know, for, uh, those of you who want to get me a gift and don't know.... not that I expect it...
