Deck of poker cards: $1.97

12-pack of Pibb soda: $3.95

Quotes from Heather: Priceless

These recent gems came from Heather while Chris and Joe played poker and Heather and I discussed bras while taking turns being dealer.

"The all-clear plastic bra by the Heather and Kati corporation! 'Be you, be see-through!'"

"It's clear like plastic but soft like cotton! We'll call it...Placotton!"

"Cheese brings out the mouse in you!"

P.S. - If I ever find out someone has taken our amazing wonderful stupendous ideas, I will hunt you down and hang you with the bras. Have a nice day. :)

And it's been awhile...

I can't believe how lazy I've gotten with blogging.

Well, there's only a few weeks of school left and I've been trying to boost my grades after slacking a little...

My birthday was Thursday, and for the most part the day was normal. Went to the eye doctor and spent $344 on an exam and new glasses that I haven't picked up yet. Then dinner with the family at a Scottish restaurant, which was absolutely excellent. Friday I worked, then had a party at Joe and Heather's which was SO MUCH FUN. I got drunk, and Heather and Will both got tipsy. We played poker and a couple other games, I got a couple presents ( a movie and a framed Ariel print) and Heather made me an awesome cake. I will definately have to post pictures. Oh, and I got silly-stringed by everybody at one point, total surprise and total mess.

Saturday I stayed in and watched movies all day and sat around. Very good day. Sunday I went out to lunch with my dad and Andy, then we went to the movies and saw Silent Hill. I must say that was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Total what the fuck movie. Well, at least I didn't pay for my own ticket.

Ever since we got that new Asian salad at McDonalds, Tom has just been cracking me up. He's Vietnamese, and the first day of salads he walked in a put one of the stickers we use for the salads on his hat - A big purple sticker that says "Asian." He hasn't worked a day without wearing one now. As he says, he's gotta represent since he's the only Asian at our McDonalds.

I'm A Material Girl

It's a known fact that I like stuff, not money. That being said, for the last couple days I spent a lot of my money on stuff. Jessie and I went out shopping Thursday and I bought a tart burner and some tarts for it. (For those who don't know, it's like a candle thingy but it heats the wax from below...) Then I bought the soundtrack to Saw, which is awesome! It's all worth it for one song, the one from the end when you find out the twist... Can't say more for people who haven't seen it. Then I bought the movie SawII at Borders, which I will watch later today.

We then left the mall and went to Wal-Mart where I bought some recordable cds, a cd player, and a new PC game. It's called And Then There Were None, it's based off one of my favorite books of the same name by Agatha Christie. Pretty good so far in the story, and the graphics are beautiful. Got home and found out the cd player won't work. It's like the story of all my technology! Grr. So yesterday we went back to Wal-Mart and returned it.

Oh, but before we went to Wal-Mart yesterday, we stopped in a pet store so we could both pick up a couple things, and then we went to Best Buy where I bought a new pair of computer speakers. Then Wal-Mart, where I tried on eleven articles of clothing and ended up only buying a package of underwear. Then home where Jess tried to hook up my new speakers, only to find out that they work fine, it's just that MY DAMN COMPUTER WON'T WORK WITH THEM. So we've got to have Mike look at it and find out what the hell, cause with my old speakers I could hear things, it just had static all the time. But with these new ones, absolutely nothing comes out. It's so frustrating!

Salsa Shark

Man, I had a great day today. I pissed off two people, one to the point of almost quitting! Yay for me.

So we got a new grill at work. The only reason I mention this is because it's the spiffy new advanced one that makes a lot of noise and does stuff by itself. The best part of it is that when the meat is about to come up, it plays the Jaws theme.

I'm not kidding. It goes "duh-dun, duh-dun, duh-dun" and then it pops up. It doesn't get to the fast part, sadly. But it's an amusement at work. Randal starting joking that we were serving shark meat now.

April Fools day was really fun with the guys, especially Randal. We kept trying to get each other. I got him once, and he kept catching me when I would try to fool him. I can't think of any moments right now where he got me, though.

Yesterday I watched the new version of Pride and Prejudice. Now, my mom is a huge fan of Jane Austin's work, and has therefore gotten me hooked on it. We were both big fans of the tv miniseries of P&P, and we were pretty worried that this new version would suck. Well, she says its ok, but not that great. I love it. I still love the other version, but there's things I like and dislike about both versions. But I was really impressed, it was much better than I was expecting it to be.
